Collector: I will continue gathering equipment for my mission from the council. Remember, put everything away when you're done. Got it?
Astra: got it!
Collector took a galaxy grade scanning device, and several energy repelling devices. All of these would be necessary for precise analysis of the fractured planet.
He took one last look at Astra... For some reason he felt that this would be his last mission.
When he opened a portal to go to the fractured planet he was sent to the exact place he didn't want to see...
The remains of his solar system, a few dead outer planets orbiting a massive red star.
The exact place where he lost everything
Collector: no... Not here... Not this place...
After a couple more tries he was able to go to the fractured planet. He set up his scanning technology, and waited while it scanned every inch of the planets surface from a safe distance.
While he waited he saw a heavily armored stickmanian ship, heading straight towards the fractured planet. As soon as it got close enough giant chunks of armor broke off and burnt away, just as the captain described. But it seemed nobody was on-board, this must have been a test to see how far they could get with that amount of armor. But clearly... It wasn't far enough.
After a few hours the scanner completed it's analysis of the planet, and the results were... Confusing, to say the least.
The energy protecting it matched Mr. Void's energy signature perfectly, and yet no life forms (not even him) were detected. And on top of that the strength of the energy matched that of the crystal of creation.
Collector would need to return to the realm of creation to evaluate the data. Upon returning he found Astra and inku asleep on the couch with a movie playing.
Collector: looks like they had fun.
He simply put a blanket over them and returned to his laboratory to figure out what's wrong with the planet he just visited. Clearly something very unusual was going on.
