if someone punches me, why would I pull my concealed carry gun out and shoot him? That's stand-your-ground laws. If you shoot a burglar who hasn't threatened you or shown a weapon, you get charged with manslaughter and careless discharge. That's reasonable force laws. If your response to seeing someone wandering your house in the dark is to panic and shoot them, congratulations, you just shot your wife while she was getting water.

All of that rationalization for taking RESPONSIBILY for attackers is why it would be very bad for a freedom loving person to live in quasi-Marxist Canada.
