Why hasn't NATO attacked Russia ?

Besides blowing up their undersea pipeline and polluting the environment.

Besides having NATO equipment and military "advisors" involved in the conflict.

Why hasn't NATO invaded Russia, or at least have thousands of troops deployed in Ukraine as they have in so many other conflicts?

Especially since all news reports tell us how ragtag the Russian army is and that they don't even have ammunition.

Why hasn't NATO granted Ukraine membership?

And except for the fact that NATO didn't even get involved until it had already been going on for 87 days, and except that Russia and Russia alone initiated the war for openly confessed imperialistic reasons. There are espionage and machinations aplenty long before any conflict breaks out. Looming Russian "invasion" was talked about by every news agency for several months before any fighting began. The NATO nations would have known even before that. NATO was not surprised by "attack of the barbarians".

"Ukraine isn't even a NATO member" is common knowledge, so there will be an additional deduction from your fee.

My question is - why isn't Ukraine a member of NATO?
