Ending massive amount of drugs coming in from Mexico would help ease homlessness - seeing 99% of the drugs are coming from the southern border. Moneys need to be allocated for mental institutions , we could have housed all our homeless with the money we sent to the Ukraine. But F Americans when some foreign country has its hand out. Also education in economics should be mandatory throughout schooling, starting with basic economics in grade school. So people don't decide to run up 80K dollars on a credit card with 27% interest rates. that would be a start.

Housing isn't the issue. You were right to begin with - the homeless population is nearing 100% junkies. Any housing provided would soon look like their tent cities. There is no helping them.

I disagree, housing keeps them from living on the streets - housing stops public defection and urination. A major issue is with homeless blocking businesse's entry ways. Plus them living on the streets is a health hazard to everyone else, Illness spreads like wild fire among them, having them in one place can stem the spread of lice, bed bugs, and other parasites that live off the homeless. It is a benefit to society to house them.

They did lives in houses and left or were thrown out. Do you think a freebie house is going to make a difference in the behaviors that made them homeless in the first place?
