Just as they say we "pick and choose" different parts of the Bible, they also "pick and choose" what parts of science they want to believe.

Yay, that makes you "right"? Science isn't a religion and religion isn't science. The good Lord isn't required to explain the universe to dolts. That's what heaven is for.

I think your concept of Christianity is flawed.

Your's is flawless? Enlighten me. I am all ears, except for the sense the Lord saw fit to endow. I think of myself more of a fundamentalist, in the large F sense, than a person of more catholic tastes. Over many centuries the prosaic and poetic editing of the original tales of the Bible diluted and mangled them to various political needs. I think that most Christians assume that they belong to the one true path. "There is no path, the path is made by walking...".

Then let me explain.
Heaven isn't meant to explain anything. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲. Christ never made that a goal. Also, I'm perfectly aware that there's a difference between religion and science, but some people (cough cough atheists) seem to think otherwise.

The biggest difference between science and religion is truth. Do something about that cough, see a priest or a doctor.
