One day my school actually went on alert (not lockdown), where we would keep learning, but precautions would be taken. Such as every door being closed, and nobody in the hallways. I was in chemistry class at the time, so if it DID go into lockdown, I was genuinely considering grabbing an acid of some kind and throwing it into the shooter's eyes (if there was one).

My science teacher says that if there is ever a lockdown he will quickly whip up some hydrochloric acid and stand near the door, ready to blind any potential attackers.
