Why does this constantly happen to me?

Took 50 millennia to take a 60 in science because i lost a project to a 95

I had a 100 in science, so my teacher assigned a one question quiz, and the question said "which substance melted first?" But nothing melted, so I wrote "none of them" and I checked my grade the next day and it was A SIXTY
