banning weapons does nothing, take Mexico for example ..the average citizen is unable to own any fire arm.. so the only groups left that are armed is the mexican government and the cartels. American Citizens stop so many crimes a year without ever pulling the trigger.. your side completely ignores that 100% true fact.

The Mexcian people are raped , robbed and murdered daily by cartels and the people have no way to defend their selves .. a simply micro exmaple I can give. I have walked out of my home with my rifle 2 times since 2022 - once gang bangers were breaking into my garage , and the other time my work van was being robbed by banger. I stopped both criminal activities - without firing a shot. I would ahve been attacked or kileld if I was unarmed.

There are indeed a lot of violent, unstable, impoverished and organized crime-ridden countries. I don’t think it does us any good to compare ourselves to them.

The U.S. should be more comparable to Europe, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. That’s why I prefer charts like this, which show how much the US lag our rich-world peers on this.

But yes, if you compare the US to Latin America many neighborhoods are like that

Then factor in homicides with illegal firearms from gang activiety chicago alone , in only Chicago there was 600 murders with guns Chciago being the lowest on the top 12 Big Urban cities - 12 x 600 = 12,600 - 12,600 - 19,310 = 6,710 high estimate, factor in self defense , police shootings, and other legal uses of firearms equals out to be about 2700 - 6,710 = 4,010 .. now how many of this 4,010 are done by rifles that the dems want to ban? about 455... less than 2% of the total gun deaths are done by the rifles everyone is oinking about banning. It doesn't make sense.
