The more "green" the west goes, the more polluted China becomes.

China should have it's status as a "Developing Nation" revoked. They are among the world's worst polluters, and not even CLOSE to being a "Developing Nation"

We should also remove their most favored nation status as well. We need to stop importing goods from them. Not overnight, that would crash our economy, but gradually phase Chinese goods out and replace them with American made or any other country that doesn't enslave their people.

Yep, if you don't stop consuming unnecessary products made elsewhere you are no further ahead.

Name me a cellphone company, a computer manufacturer or any other electronics manufacturer that is NOT based in China.

I wish I could buy stuff like that made anywhere but China. Not because of global warming (I don't care about that), but because I am vehemently opposed to slave labor.

If there were a domestic manufacturer of cell phones the price would easily be double what it costs to have them made in China, because Corporate owes the shareholders a juicy return, and the corporate executives have to get their bonuses, too.

They'd blame the cost of labor, but that's only part of the story.

It has nothing to do with shareholders or executive bonuses. It is free labor vs slave labor. That is why the Southern states fought so hard to keep slavery going in this country back in the 1800's. The Chinese government makes a bigger profit with slave labor than they would if they actually paid their laborers the market value of their wages. That's because there is no market, there is no Capitalism. There is just state owned and controlled businesses. Everything the Democrat party dreams of, because they hate it when a private citizen earns a profit.

It is possible for businesses to pay themselves bonuses and still offer a product at a low price. You need to understand Capitalism away from the morons who discredit it so they can turn us all into slaves (just like China).

Dang, here in Canada the price of the phone is not the issue, it is the monthly subscription which is one of the highest in the world - just a form of taxation I guess.

Yep, there are people that actually people living here who choose to get a US cell plan.

Heck if that were my main criteria for a place to live, I would end up in Israel, which as far as I have heard has rates an order of magnitude cheaper than the US. Could be worse, the folks in South Korea pay more than us.

We can still support pedo peter third world war government to solve the climatic problem with other countries that don't respect our democracy supreme value supremacy.
