I really wish. This next election will be the first one I can vote in and I want it to be at least semi decent

If not, 2028 holds real promise.
No more Baby Boomers in the Drivers Seat, after they take their parting shot at power.
They'll have made their mark, and become immaterial as old age catches up to them.

Somebody 40yrs old or so in 2028 will have a fresh youthful exuberance for leadership.
Things might get rough between now and then. Survive. Keep optimistic.

Sorry to piss on your proverbial campfire kid, but in spite of the optimistic words from UDA, chances are the next election won't be semi-decent, and the same will be true for almost all elections in your future. You might want to consider sucking it up and voting for the least of two horrible options as your election go-to move.
