It's really not complicated. If Trump broke a law or laws and is duly charged, given his due process, and convicted, then he should go to jail.
The fact that you or anyone, feels Trump should be "in prison for a variation of reasons" matters not.
What's odd is a local DA attempting to charge Trump with federal election crimes. I'm not sure how that works out from a jurisdictional standpoint, but all signs indicate that we're close to finding out.
