100 million didn't die as the result of communist governments. That inflated statistic comes from the Black Book of Communism, where two of the book's own contributors admitted it was "sloppy and biased scholarship", and that the main author was "obsessed" with arriving at 100 million deaths (and still fell short, at 94 million). The book also includes actual Nazis in their count of 'victims of communism', which I personally am not going to lose sleep over.
On the other hand, at least 20 million die every year as the result of capitalist inefficiency, from hunger or malnutrition, death from preventable disease, pollution and climate change. Hundreds of years later and a majority of the world still lives on less than $5.5 a day thanks to capitalist inequality.
