I literally just got to this episode in the Office.

Nah, elevators turn into precision guided munition.

When an elevator fall’s down that means all cables snapped and somebody removed the mechanical safety breaks with force (near impossible) but even then you would land on a cushion of air because elevator shafts are giant air traps.

All you need for an escalator incident is lots of people using it and one person to fall or a malfunction / idiot that makes it stop #didyoustickapennyinthatdoor?
