1) God doesn't make people gay. People are taught to be whatever they are, straight, gay, whatever. And when I say "taught" I don't even necessarily mean specifically by any teacher. I mean they can learn from their surroundings and friend groups. God says being gay is a sin that will disqualify you from His kingdom, and to not warn people of that is equal to hatred because it shows you don't care for their eternity.

2) Yes, hate comes from the devil, but since God has said being gay is a sin, the temptation to be gay is also from the devil, so he's got a fork in both sides here (a common Satan tactic). Now if someone lovingly confronts sin, this is not of the devil.

3) Trump didn't invent "homophobia". He also didn't invent "free speech", or as you'd like to call it, "free hate speech."

4) Everything the left doesn't want to hear doesn't fall under the category of "hate speech". That's a nice way to demonize opponents when you don't know how to counter their arguments, but it has little bearing on reality. It's considered hate speech now to care about women who possibly could get raped by trans people with male genitalia simply because trans people are lower on the victim pole than actual women, and so sticking up for women's rights makes you transphobic in this instance, and is considered hate speech. That is utter BS. It just means men can now find a way to cheat the victimhood system and get even lower than women so they can do everything feminism opposed from the start, with the full backing of the very people who claim to care for women. This isn't hate speech, it's looking out for women and wanting to protect women. But the wokes will surely consider this hate speech and will try to disable your mouth for daring to have this offensive opinion.

LOL extremists. thats the term that has been used throughout history, in many different forms, for people who are wrong but don't like it. So they try to ban a whole swath of people to shut them up. The ironic thing about it, is always how YOU (they) are the extremists. The idea that Gay marriage and gayness in general is normal is the extreme thing. heterosexual behavior has been around since the beginning of time, up until 20 minutes ago when people like yourself thought it would be a good idea to ruin everything...look where we've gotten.

Yes, sexual attraction is usually natural, whether for the same or opposite sex...but what you can do to stop yourself, or at least model your behavior, is to engage in actions and read things that center your mind in a certain belief that has a certain outcome. For example, if you are listening to/reading things that condone your behavior, why would you change?

but if you read/listen to things that condemn your behavior, and you begin to understand the truth behind that and how self-destructive your actions are, then you begin to want to change yourself for the better.

So...God is not all powerful, all knowing, made everything according to his plan and gay people are more powerful than God?

Because being able to choose to be gay would mean they were more powerful than God.

Also, follow up question: if you're not gay and if being attracted to people of the same sex is a choice-- when did you decide to only be attracted to the opposite sex?

When did you make this very clear and distinct decision?
0 ups, 1y,
1 reply
Let's apply that logic to a different statement:
*is rapist*
"So...God is not all powerful, all knowing, made everything according to his plan and rapists are more powerful than God?!"

OMG it's like people make decisions or something.

"because being able to choose to be a rapist would mean they were more powerful than God."

You don't, you are born with certain sexual attractions, and before the sexual revolution and all this bs, very very very few people ever had attraction to the other sex.

All the time, people today especially have to. The reason is because there is very much sexual foreplay and exposure to both sexes on a worldwide scale, from a young age...so, as a man today, having grown up with exposure, I naturally have more sexual energy towards my own sex then I would have I lived in an era without sexual foreplay.
0 ups, 1y,
1 reply
Yes, you are making the same argument. And,interestingly, expanding on it in a way I don't think you intend.

So. Yes. If God is all powerful, all knowing, and everything happens according to his will, yes, he has planned out rape.

Not just "lack of foreplay" (which is a ridiculous definition of rape). But forcing sex on someone who does not want to have sex with you.

And if he hasn't planned out all that rape, then someone deciding to rape another person (and thus going against God's plan) does make them more powerful than God.

So, you state here "You don't, you are born with certain sexual attractions, and before the sexual revolution and all this bs, very very very few people ever had attraction to the other sex."

You're clearly stating that people are born with sexual preferences. Yet, this is at odds with this earlier statement: " God doesn't make people gay. People are taught to be whatever they are, straight, gay, whatever."

Which is it? People are born that way or you learn it or God makes you that way according to his grand design?
0 ups, 1y,
1 reply
No no no no...That is a common mistake, but a grave one!

God didn't "plan" rape. Evil is not part of Gods vocab buddy. But he turns the evil committed into good. He takes coal and makes it into a diamond so to speak, but he didn't make the coal into the coal, he allowed to coal to do what it wanted, disobey him even.

LOL. I wasn't using "Lack of foreplay" for rape. Foreplay is today is kinda like sexual innuendo. Its teasing things, and by the time you are 10 years old, you've had a ton of sexual messages placed into your subconscious.

Why would it make them more powerful than God?

Yes, they usually are. Uhuh. God doesn't MAKE your sexual perversion. God can simultaneously make you YOU, and allow you to commit whatever sin against Him you might. He's opened Himself up to you wounding Him because He loves you.

Huh, homie, God created Evil.

On purpose.

So. the all knowing and all powerful God created the universe.

He created the angels, knowing that some would rebel. (all knowing. he knows this will happen)

He creates Hell. (again, he has to make this because he created the universe).

Punishes the rebels by sending them to Hell.

He created the Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil.

He made Adam & Eve.

Then he put them near the Tree and said "Don't eat from that tree."

Knowing that they would. Because he's all-knowing. He knows this will happen.

A talking serpent slides up to Eve and convinces her to eat from the Tree. (The serpent isn't Satan or Lucifer (2 different fallen angels, btw) it's just a talking snake out for lulz).

God kicks them out of Eden for doing the thing he set them up to do. (because he loves them).

And then anyone who breaks any of the new rules gets sent to Hell with the bad guys. But he waits awhile to give out those new rules until a specific guy is on a mountain. (so, like what happens to the people born after the Garden thing but before the new rules are given to Moses? Do murderers get into Heaven then?)

Not only did God create evil. He created a punishment system for it.

Otherwise he's not all-powerful or all-knowing.

And that sounds like someone who loves you?

Someone who sets up a system of punishments and then sets you up to fail. That's love to you?

And it's not a "hey, you're in time out, mister" It's "you're going to burn for the rest of eternity."

That sounds like love to you?

Wow. That's plain blasphemy.
God didn't create EVIL, that's why it can't even enter his presence. Evil began existing out of the necessity of God existing. It's a natural consequence.

No, Satan and Lucifer aren't two different angels, it's not just a talking snake...omg where do you go, a woke church?

He didn't set them up...He gave them an opportunity, THERE IS AN INFINITE DIFFERENCE.

"And then anyone who breaks any of the new rules gets sent to Hell with the bad guys. But he waits awhile to give out those new rules until a specific guy is on a mountain. (so, like what happens to the people born after the Garden thing but before the new rules are given to Moses? Do murderers get into Heaven then?)"

What a gross generalization. It's pretty simple, God, in his infinite wisdom (as you keep mentioning), is able to judge them with total justice and mercy simultaneously.

Oh I see now, you are totally confused. 🤣😂
Now wonder your Biblical understanding if off!

If you did truly understand the system of hell and our own evil, you would quickly realise how glad you are that this place ACTUALLY exists. We are given infinite chances to turn to God, and live the most pleasant lives in submission, but we don't.
By pleasant, I mean, in the midst of suffering, great peace not found in any part of the world. A life with God is wonderful, but you haven't tasted it, so you can only see all the "rules and regulations" and the punishment of fire. But in reality those things are actually very very small, like a whisp of a memory, his glory wipes it away.

IF God created the universe, and everything in it is a result of his creation, that includes evil.

If the universe is a creation, and everything in it is his creation, and everything that happens in it is by his design- then evil is his by design.

Every evil act is one that he has designed to happen.

And if he didn't design it, he certainly allowed it.

What kind of being allows evil to happen to those whom he claims to love?

If God is all knowing, then he knew that Adam & Eve would listen to the talking snake (go look it up, it's not Satan. It's not Lucifer. It's just a talking snake).

Other wise he's not all knowing.

And the snake in Genesis is a talking snake. Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”

That's a talking snake. It says its more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made.

Not "This was no ordinary snake. It as actually the Devil in disguise!" Not, "And lo, the Devil arose from Hell and took the form of a snake and whispered to Eve."

Nope.

Talking snake slithers on up. And Eve is apparently cool with talking snakes. She's not freaked out at all. So, either talking animals are super common, and that's why she's not freaked out by a talking snake, OR she has the emotional sophistication of a toddler who accepts things as they appear to be.

God made a talking snake. And as an all-knowing God, he had to know that the snake would chat up the only other 2 creatures with language in the place. Adam & Eve. Who, apparently have the emotional sophistication of toddlers because they listen to a talking snake.

And the church I was raised in was not woke. It was very much the opposite kind of place that said women needed to serve men.

If God is judging everyone with total mercy because they were born before they could hear about the 10 commandments written down in the Bronze Age what would be the point of doing all of that with the tablets? What would be the point of sending himself down as a mortal to die?

He can just judge everyone.

1) why change that system to one that's clearly inefficient and slow? 2) why wait to give out rules to a bronze age era tribe who can't communicate it around the globe instantly. 3) why update the rules again by killing yourself in an era that still doesn't have mass global communication?

Yes, things result in occurrences. That does not mean he created them. Yes, evil is by design, but not created. Do you see?

He did know, yes. But God does not force love. Imagine if I had a girlfriend, but she was forced to "like" me. Would that be a real relationship? No, God wants true love, so he allows Adam and Eve to decide whether or not they will love God.

"Go look it up." Like the internet is a good source for Biblical knowledge. Nope, I study Hebrew, and I'm sticking with the Bible.

Or that part of the Bible doesn't explain characters emotions in the 3rd perspective. You really don't know how to read the bible.

Satan is the only one allowed in the garden at this moment, as we can assume.

We've already been through this. Keep talking until you convince yourself.

The #1 thing is bs.
You, not only have not read the whole bible, but don't even recognize the worldwide impact that the Bible has had. It's incredible the amount of ignorance. I always wonder to myself HOW ONE CAN BE AN ATHEIST, but in some sense this makes sense.

"Satan is the only one allowed in the garden at this moment, as we can assume."

False.
Satan (Samael) not only is not mentioned the Garden at this moment, he's not mentioned anywhere in Genesis at all.

He is, however, mentioned elsewhere sitting with the other Gods at the Divine Council.
