The alleged cause is that the wind turbines are somehow interfering with the whales sense of direction.
Tmk, no expert on whale biology has even introduced this as a possibility. That isn’t to say there are no scientist or experts making the claim but at this point it is definitely far-fetched.
It’s just a coincidence that those who are against alternative energy are also echoing these statements, of course.
