I find it funny how oblivious sheltered individuals are to the horrific issues with society. Yes of course women can access contraception, but when dealing with drug addicted women, and the unique situations they live under totally not understood by normal society, it wouldn’t be reasonable for the government to force the product of their pregnancy into society. Then you have the doctor who is other involved or has no clue. When these mothers do have the baby they then are placed in jail for child abuse because they gave birth to an infant that had drugs found in its system. Causing more costs and burden for the tax payer. Doctors who know of the issue can do everything they can to get the individual mother help, but keep in mind some of these mothers eventually loose the pregnancy anyway due to their addiction. I think a physician would be doing society a huge service by recommending termination of pregnancy to severely addicted women. Doesn’t just fall in the realm of drug use. Tons of fetal alcohol children and adults out in society trying to survive something they had no control over.
