For what? The documents are already back in the archives where they're supposed to be.

That's not what happened. He took those documents without permission.

He was late returning them but the archives weren't even the ones who noticed in the end, his own lawyers were.

I don't know why you're pretending not to see the difference. Both people were legally handed the documents to read. Only one of them defied court-backed orders to return the documents for 18 months. And that's the one that had the case referred to the FBI.

Funny how you didn't say that about Trump when it was revealed he to was co-operating with the National Archives before the raid.

Because he wasn't. He ignored 18 months' of court enforced requests for the documents and it was escalated to the FBI as a final resort.

They requested secret and top secret documents from him. He explained they had been declassified.
