The latest way to hasten the destruction of the country

Yeah, they're learning all about that in Colorado - December 2021 the Marshall fire tore through Boulder, CO. (Boulder is one of the bluest areas of a blue state.) Destroyed almost 1,100 structures.

People that THOUGHT that they had plenty of insurance coverage to be able to rebuild after they found out that some local yokels outlawed ALL gas appliances (stoves, furnaces, hot water heaters, fireplaces) AND mandated EV charging stations on all new construction. Most cannot afford to rebuild.

Go woke go broke.

It's tragic that so many people vote to put the government in charge of their lives, believing they'll then live lives within some collective utopia.

When they finally realize their belief systems were foolishness, it's too late.

That specific situation (as you almost certainly know) is an example of "de-development," which became stylish during the obama years. It plays to all the democrat pieties, from returning urban land back into open fields to depopulation to "fighting climate change."

But it really means that people have their way of life simply rubbed out.
