Yep. See 90% of all living things today did not have a common ancestor according to the mitochondrial DNA stored in the massive database where they put all sequenced genomes.
Another thing it showed is that about 200,000 years ago the mitochondrial DNA cuts off with no reason. It stops at the same point for all creatures. Almost as if they were created at that time.
