We can always manually change the database, but that's manual dev work (more costly) and multiple people have asked for this. To make it more officially available to multiple users, do you think it's reasonable to include account resurrection / merging into one of the paid plans?

Keep in mind that some data may be permanently deleted based on privacy or security, it's primarily the username and public actions that would be recovered. Not that Imgflip has much private data anyway.

That would be an idea. I would gladly pay to get my old profile back. I had the pro a while back for about a year, anyway.

No. I believe that the paid subscription plan will be unable to cover the costs of such feature. It's an unnecessarily expensive action, when Imgflip has a message that explicitly states that when deleting an account, you can't get the account back. People have to read the said message before deleting their account. Keeping this message and not implementing this feature at all will save up a lot of costs.

In other words, It's financially unreasonable to implement this feature, even under a paid plan.

No, there is no way to recover deleted accounts. Once they are gone they are gone.

There's not much to an account, it's basically just the username and email. All of the content created by the account is still around regardless if they made it public and did not delete it before deleting their account.

Hate to pull a "Told you so," but you know how everyone keeps saying to everyone NOT to delete, that you can just leave the account as is for posterity's sake, even if you never return, that's history for everyone else to look at?
