They didn't attack those things

They certainly did, Octavia. Viking has it right and I can't believe you think otherwise. Your perception is not reality.

Yup... they went after church gatherings... not protest gatherings...

How were churches attacked?

They were not allowed to open. Police actually came out to some churches which were open during the covid lock down. Somehow "peaceful protesters" were able to congregate without repercussion but targeted groups weren't allowed the same...

The lockdown applied to all religious services, it wasn't just churches

Except for some Jews in New York City, it was only Christians who claimed that they were being oppressed by the lockdowns

So by your logic it's ok for the government to trample people's rights as long as the only ones that complain are Christians and some jews in NYC?

Don't you get it? Just because no one (or only a few) complained doesn't make it right! Have you never read the poem about the holocaust that goes "First they came for the..."? Just because someone else's rights are being trampled doesn't mean that yours won't be next.

Then we lose nothing; it would be better to believe and find out that it was fake, than it would be to never take that leap of faith, and end up finding out the hard way that it was all real and be condemned to hell.

"Then we lose nothing"

That's not true. You would've lost all the time you spent practicing a religion that isn't true, and all the money you spent on it, too. If somebody's a devoted Scientologist for 50 years and they die, would you say they haven't lost anything because Scientology isn't true?

"it would be better to believe and find out that it was fake, than it would be to never take that leap of faith, and end up finding out the hard way that it was all real and be condemned to hell"

Wouldn't you have to apply that same logic to every other religion? If that's the case, you should also be a Muslim and a Jew and a Sikh and a Buddhist and everything else, just to be safe.

(Matthew 6:24) “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
