The publisher of National Enquirer has said it coordinated with Donald Trump’s presidential campaign to pay a Playboy model $150,000 in hush money, placing the president and his inner circle in further legal peril.
American Media Inc (AMI) told prosecutors it worked “in concert” with Trump’s campaign when it bought Karen McDougal’s story of a sexual affair with Trump, which it suppressed “to prevent it from influencing the election”.
The publisher revealed details of the so-called “catch and kill” deal for McDougal’s story in an agreement with federal authorities that means the company will not face charges, prosecutors in Manhattan announced on Wednesday.

Really Stanley, this is what you focus on while it's being revealed that the the US govt is trampling its citizens' right to free speech?

You are amazing, and I don't mean that in a good way. I mean it in a chronic TDS kind of way, which is sad because liberals used to stand for free speech against the govt when it tried to put it down. Now they're with the govt when it puts down free speech. I guess the times have changed, and the change in in democrat ideology is one thing that makes me glad my more liberal / democrat days are well behind me.

I'm with you that he downplayed it (and probably many other things he said/did which were NOT helpful regarding Covid)..... but I think your comment above is a false portrayal.

The donald has recommended getting vaccines and defended them multiple times. There is a WaPo article with a pretty thorough list of the times (well.... through Dec 2021 anyway).

He got covid in early October 2020... The vaccine wasn't available until December.

So I guess technically...... yes.

He got covid... Recovered... Got quietly vaccinated hiding in a bunker somewhere at some point(?)..... and then began recommending the vaccine.

Well he underestimated his supporters ignorance.

Saying it was a hoax.
Refusing to use a mask.
Saying it would go away in spring with warmer temps.
Saying it would go away after the election.
Saying hydroxychloroquine works.
On and on

It overloaded his supporters brains and they couldn't incorporate new data into their belief system
