Comedy May Not Be Dead, But It's Beginning to Smell Funny

I told my 21 y.o. niece that the movie was MOCKING racism, not celebrating racism. She could not put her initial reaction aside to even consider that possibility, and just dug in her heels and insisted that it was racist. And by extension I am a racist for not agreeing with her.
