What does it mean in politics to never let a tragedy go to waste? Allow me to enlighten you!

I lived in Colo Springs a long time. Let me tell you some realities about the high country....it attracts a lot of transients. Whether its people coming or going in the military, business tycoons, athletes, or people who just want to live in the natural beauty. You never know who your neighbor is, or will be. You never know who that guy is in front of you at Walmart. People are always coming and going, businesses come and go, jobs come and go. Everything changes as often as the weather.

The mountains also attract every brain damaged psycho imaginable. There is an unspoken belief by a lot of parents and grandparents that moving their violent sociopath relatives to the state will change them for the better. Every New England addict thinks they can get rich renting an apartment, then bashing out some walls to turn it into a grow house. Every criminal on the run thinks they can camp in the mountains for life. A search for registered sex offenders within a couple miles of your apparently nice neighborhood might show six or seven dozen! If you make friends with an expensive ex-escort girl, she'll tell you about the local politician's wild orgies and fetishes. Whatever you think about people in Colorado, I promise you it's inaccurate. And something about those cold purple mountains attracts crazy like lightbulbs attract moths. And don't forget, Colorado is a hard blue state, so the crazies who commit these mass shootings won't be pro-Trump Christian zealots. They will be transgender boys like Alec McKinney, depressed Californian transplants like James Holmes, or angry and troubled teens like Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold.

Nevertheless, you are going to hear a lot about "hate" in coming weeks. You'll hear how laws in red states thousands of miles away caused this. You'll hear how voter ID rules prevented passage of a law that could have prevented this. You'll hear every excuse imaginable to explain this crazy man's motives....except for the truth of course. Because this shooter, like all the others in Colorado lately, is as crazy as hell. But why let that stop Democrats from blaming half the country?!?

One of Aldrich’s grandparents is Randy Voepal, a Republican Lawmaker.

It is unknown what Aldrich’s motive was. However, as the shooting coincided during the first minutes of Transgender Remembrance Day, and Club Q is probably one of the only LGBTQ clubs in the moderately conservative town of Colorado Springs, it was natural to assume the crime was motivated by someone who may be anti-lgbt.

It wasn’t until after the charges of hate crime were made against Aldrich that their attorneys revealed that Aldrich was non-binary. It is possible Aldrich is only claiming this to pursue a less harsh sentence, or to further justify any public discourse against the lgbt community. Interestingly enough, local evangelical groups that are typically anti-lgbt have condemned the massacre. So has Alrdrich’s father who admitted to be homophobic.

Regardless, I’d be far more interested in the story unfolding before we accuse them as another typical liberal or typical conservative.

As far as I’m concerned, Aldrich is neither.

And it is gross for anyone to assume they are a mass-murdering f**k up primarily due to their politics.

I get you’re saying a lot of crazy people live in Colorado. And that we shouldn’t just immediately assume that the shooter wasn’t a Trump Supporter or a Christian. I agree with that. But to then swing accusations and imply the more likely political flavor of crazies in that state are primarily Democrats or liberal because it’s currently a blue state is some majorly hypocritical generalizion.

Colorado is a swing state, and like pretty much every single state, has far more red counties than blue counties. The shooting took place in a moderately red county surrounded by more reddish counties than blue. So don’t even try to paint this as political yet just because Colorado didn’t elect your preferred political candidate. That’s some wretchedly petty bullshit there.

It is egregiously worse that you’ve actually lived in Colorado. You should know better.

Of course Christian groups condemn killing innocent people (Christian or not). Innocent in the sense that they did nothing to premeditate the attacks such as bullying or abuse. Real Christian groups condemn homosexual acts not homosexuals.
The evidence shows they were a leftist non-binary nut, before they did the shooting.
