I honestly do not think that's how it goes. We know that God is in control, but also commanded be be stewart's all over His creation. It’s one of the first things God asked of us in Genesis 2:15, after the creation of mankind. Likewise, there are examples in Jeremiah 2:7 and Deuteronomy 11:12 of how God looks over his creation.
We are stewards of the earth, and we have a responsibility to care for it.
Genesis 2:15 G-d made Adam a gardener.
Jeremiah 2:7 speaks of spiritual defilement/idolatry. .
Deuteronomy 11:12 is a promise that G-d will bless the mandatory if his people will seek him diligently.
According to what you've posted the earth will never be preserved because mankind has forsaken the Lord.
Here it is in a nutshell.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
No, the context of what I posted deals with humans being commanded to be stewards of God's creation. Which completely contradicts what Graeystone mentioned, and I quote "Jesus said to not worry about animals, birds, etc."
