Do you apply that the Democrats as well, i.e. Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams? The original election deniers!

Is Abrams introducing any legislation that dismisses whole counties when they see “election irregularities”, IE a county that usually holds one majority flips to another, as enough evidence to dismiss the vote from whole county? Did Gore or Hillary?

Many governors, senators, and representatives currently running as Republicans for office are.

Abrams is not in office. Same with Gore and Hillary after their elections. Can you site specific pending legislation that does exactly that?

“Abrams is not in office.”

Oh, my bad. I thought she was still a state representative. I don’t typically follow democrats, especially out of state, so old data. My bad.

Anyway, in Arizona there is a measure to revoke the secretary of state’s issuance or certification of a presidential elector’s certificate of the election by majority of the legislature. Essentially allowing the state to revoke the states choice of vote.

https://www.azleg.gov/legtext/55leg/1R/bills/HB2720P.pdf

Pennsylvania also passed a similar measure in 2020.

https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/Legis/LI/uconsCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&yr=2020&sessInd=0&smthLwInd=0&act=12

There are also attempts to cut early voting across many states, when it barely impacted the 2020 election unlike mail-in voting, which makes no sense, honestly. Many Republicans chose to vote early in the last presidential election and many are likely to do so THIS mid-term election, if polling is accurate.

Republicans are also running on more frequent updates to voter registration, which can allow them greater freedoms to purge registered voters who are already enrolled, with little assurance of notification that they been removed in case of error.

Looks like the constitution is working well. States get to decide how they run their own elections. Looks like freedom to me!

Sure, if you want to give politicians more power and take away people’s rights to vote!

Nothing liberal about that, no siree!

I miss my fiscally Conservative party. Now it’s the Rat Pack.

I don’t agree with everything every legislature introduces in my state. But if something bugs me enough I certainly can contact their office and let them know how I feel about it. Everybody on every side of every issue has that ability.

I’d rather vote them out. And I don’t take too kindly to them taking that away.

Contacting your legislature is about as futile as posting your political viewpoints on a meme site and thinking it matters.

When enough people do it, it works!
2 ups, 2y
Sure! With guns enough people can change a lot of minds, I’m sure.

I’d rather retain the ability to vote than have to gun down my representatives!

K thaaaaaaanks!

There is a difference between denial of election and contesting election results. Do you know what that difference is?

Clinton & Abrams denied election results. Gore and Trump contested them.

Before 2020, I would say it doesn’t really matter who is President. Local politicians tend to have better heads on their shoulders and the better party to vote for locally would be Republicans.

But now even local Republicans are going full blown liberal. And not the good kind.

Republican policies is to cut taxes on rich, cut regulations on companies, increase spending on military.

Starve the beast

Crime rate went up 15%. Whoop-te-doo! What’s another Republican governor gonna do about it? Oh, that’s right, nothing different than the outgoing governor. Still, at least the outgoing governor didn’t go around quoting talking points. New candidate has Presidential ambitions for 2024. They have no interest in governing our state. Doesn’t even live here.

Republicans don't have popular policies. That is why they gerrymander and have to have an angry motivated base.

They have no solutions. Just cut taxes and hope for the best
1 up, 2y
They’re a little more nuanced locally. Usually the choice between a Republican or Democrat governor comes down to spending but usually between roads or schools, or farmer protections or more wifi towers.

My clear headed governor is stepping down and in his place is a Republican candidate going on and on about the Radical Left, High Crime Rate, and a commitment for election integrity. As if election integrity was a problem in an all red state and our past Republican governor was somehow responsible for the fact we had gone up 15% during the pandemic, which is below the national average of increase during that year.

Sadly, I don’t think the Democrat alternative has a chance.

I live in Trumpville, Trumpcadia.

He should move here. He’d like it.

I’ll never vote for a (blank) who claims the integrity of an election hinges on them to win.

That would be all american politicians today.

I named over half of the Republicans running.

Almost 70% of Americans care about election integrity.

I guess you’re part of the 30% who don’t.

I am neither in the 70% nor the 30%.
You named, simultaneously, noone and all of 2016Democrats.
Get voter Identification running if you care for election integrity.

Good luck in your midterm elections

You either care about election integrity or you don’t.

Republicans aren’t just running for voter ID.

And I voted for the first time all Democrat because of this nonesense!

Voters decide elections. Not state legislatures.
