Gullibility and short memories among the Republican base; a relentless will-to-power among the Republican elite.

Gullibility and short memories among the Republican base; a relentless will-to-power among the Republican elite. | Remember how Republicans used to wax lyrical about the Electoral College? The E.C. handed Republicans Presidential victories in both 2000 and 2016, in spite of losing the popular vote. So of course they loved it. Well, in 2020, the GOP decisively lost both the popular vote *and* the Electoral College. Did they accept the result? Of course not. They just changed their argument. According to them, voting itself couldn't be trusted in 2020. But if the GOP wins the 2022 midterms, as predicted, the Republican meta-argument about respecting election results will surely change again - even as they continue their attacks on voting rights in the run-up to 2024. Bottom-line? No voting procedure is acceptable to Republicans unless Republicans win. | image tagged in 2016 hrc vs trump popular vote, stop the steal protest, republicans, conservative hypocrisy, electoral college,2020 elections | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

If they lose in the midterms, they'll say Democrats cheated

If they win, they'll say Democrats tried to cheat but failed

Either way, it reinforces their delusion

Don't forget how the republicans handled the 2020 election loss which resulted with the storming of the capital on January 6th of 2021.

So how was 2016 and taking the election fairly and defiantly not blaming it on Russia only to come out years later and admit it was a lie?
