Get a sample ballot for your area, most libraries offer paper copies or look on a government website. Look at the candidates, research them and decisions they've made in the past that could reflect or impact their future decisions.watch interviews or debates with them. Short Ads in the mail or on screen don't always show the whole picture. These elections coming up are I dare say even more important than a presidential election because the house and senate and government offices all work with or against the president and his platform. Also people in lower government offices have a greater chance of climbing up to higher more powerful positions. Every vote matters! Take your time choosing the candidates you think have the people's best interest in mind.

Let's see now . . . the Left knowingly voted a dementia patient into the presidency and then said nothing and did nothing as he immediately began wrecking the economy, gave the enemy Taliban the nation of Afghanistan while totally rearming them with our own cutting edge weaponry, let -- as of the latest count -- about two million unvaccinated and unvetted illegal aliens into this nation along with a countless amount of deadly fentanyl, and promoted the grooming of children and etcetera . . . and so it's fairly clear at this point that citizens need to vote heavily for Republicans instead -- that is, the people who DON'T do those sort of things.

"gave the enemy Taliban the nation of Afghanistan"

No, he pulled US troops out of a country they didn't need to be in

"while totally rearming them with our own cutting edge weaponry"

Like Reagan did in the 80s?

"promoted the grooming of children"

No he didn't

"citizens need to vote heavily for Republicans instead -- that is, the people who DON'T do those sort of things"

Reagan was a Republican. So is Matt Gaetz

If you can't figure out who you are voting for by now...don't vote at all. You don't have the intelligence to vote intelligently at this stage of your life.

I can figure it out, it's just an.... interesting process .

No...it's really quite boring. And quite simple.

Why shouldn't she take the time to research each candidate and their platform to make an educated decision. She still has several weeks. Discouraging others from voting no matter their age doesn't seem right.

Really? After 2 years of this Administration and all of the shenanigans and corruption from the Left side of the equation, you still need to research "each candidate"? No...it should be clearly evident by now. It's all that has been discussed for the last 10 months.
I don't know about you, K8...but I don't believe that someone who posts something this ridiculous should vote in this election. It is FAR too important. P'raps after he/she has grown and matured a little...
Just a difference of opinion.

If it's so important we should just make assumptions, take stereotypes as undeniable truth, never admit our own mistakes and try to remedy them by being informed and making decisions that impact our country? How is her post ridiculous? I'm glad a young person is asking questions and wondering about the state of current affairs, she shows more maturity than some adults.

whatever... haven't you people figured out by now that the current party in control has totally f'ed this country up? Do you really want more of this absolute incompetence?
What questions were asked? None that I could discern.
Again, it isn't that difficult to determine which candidate more closely aligns with your values and interests.

I'm not arguing for one party or another, I'm not a democrat and probably agree with you on most issues, you can determine which candidate most closely aligns with your values once you actually listen to what they have to say and see their actions. There are better and worse candidates even within each party. I don't typically vote republican across the board and for some candidates like school board officials they don't really have a R or D next to their names on the ballot.

I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about the OP. My only reference to any party was to point out that the party in control has really messed this country up.
You have to admit that in the aggregate, that this party is NOT for the best interests of our citizens.
