Memes are based on humor and relatability. That's why we have specific streams on the website, so people can relate to each other over topics of interest and not feel so isolated. It's one of the greatest benefits of having an interconnected network like we do.

I think it's an interesting thought experiment. I like the concept of questioning what it means to be human, and the twist at the very end was unexpected.

Actually, he hasn't bothered me since this last comment. I was just answering his questions and trying to be nice. He seemed troubled more than malignant. Idk what he's been through, but I like trying to be helpful to people.

You're a more patient person than I am. Never have I encountered anyone more proactive at demonstrating their own worthlessness. He evidences a clear and profound lack of capacity for anything but hating on everything he disagrees with, telling people that they're wrong for liking things he doesn't, calling people "liers" for saying things he doesn't agree with, and going out of his way to tell people that no one cares about whatever thing he is so passionate about labeling as not worth people's attention. He's an incorrigible, toxic hypocrite who either possesses the reading comprehension and writing skills of an 8 year old or simply can't be bothered to put the slightest effort into writing his comments and no effort to proofread them before posting. As a troll I give him high marks, but I think his garbage is offered in earnest and the troll aspects are incidental. He's certainly gotten under my skin and he's only been here since July.

And yet people I respect continue to engage with him. I don't get it. I just don't get it.

Like I said, you're a more patient person than I am. 2 weeks of back and forth with him was enough to satisfy me that everyone would be better off if he were simply pinched out of existence.

Yeah, that makes sense. I do try to be patient. Somehow the way he phrased things in questions made me want to honestly answer them. If for no other reason than for the people reading who might have been genuinely curious.

Also I wanted to defend my stream and be a better example of how to handle people like this that come up in life. It's something people with autism face a lot and I could have banned him or ignored him, but that's not as easy in situations say where you have people like that at work that you HAVE to deal with.

I'm a practicing secular Buddhist and patience and peace are something I'm working on a lot lately in these situations.
