Q: Why did you ally with N.E.R.D.?
2 ups, 2y,
1 reply
A: We were impressed by N.E.R.D.’s showing in the last election. Didn’t win, but came very close. By allying with N.E.R.D. we can push them in a more moderate/centrist direction while also bringing in our voters, a mutual benefit. This is what you have to do in politics sometimes, compromise to get some of what you want. This alliance could very well be Conservative Party’s ticket back to power.

As an added bonus, we are working together toward common sense, bipartisan solutions to the pressing problems of our day. Ideas that today’s divisive media won’t talk about. For instance, we believe in expanding access to reproductive clinics, providing free taxpayer-sponsored abortions while also jailing all women who use these services. We believe these kinds of middle-of-the-road solutions are what’s needed to get America back on track.

I need to be checking out this stream more often. That was beautiful.

Epic Handshake Meme | Free abortions & free jailtime Abortion is a human right Abortion is murder | image tagged in memes, epic handshake | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
The Left believes abortion is healthcare and a human right. The Right believes it's murder.

On the face of it, those positions seem incompatible - but with just a little bit of creativity and problem-solving, we can make everyone unhappy.

Q: What is your response to the allegations?
1 up, 2y
A: It’s insulting that our detractors are seeking to tarnish the name of one of I_P’s most successful parties. Longtime followers of the stream will know that our Party had the greatest winning record. We’ve fallen on more difficult times lately through absolutely no fault of our own, but that is still no reason to abandon basic respect. I chalk it up to jealousy and the fact that things inevitably turn heated when it comes to politics. Other than that, I don’t let it bother me.

we fact-checked it, and though we hate to admit it, Slobama is a certified and true American Patriot.

If you’re such an American Patriot and U.S. Constitutionalist then how do you explain THIS.

First Amendment. No Establishment of Religion.

First clause! Presumptively most important!

That means anyone of any faith or no faith at all can be a true American, vote, run for office, and exercise every other privilege afforded to a citizen. I don’t know how you square that with “theo-democracy” or whatever folks like you are pushing these days.

Sounds like your beliefs are right out of the divisive Leftist playbook.

Sad!

If I run for president, I'd scrap the Theodemocracy because...

1. It's a violation to the 1st amendment (https://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/dave-chappelle-freedom-speech-cancel-culture-first-amendment-for-a-reason). But to be fair, cancel culture is also a violation to the 1st amendment and Democrats deny it and make up propaganda that "Hate Speech" isn't a part of Free Speech (source of full blown propaganda... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2015/05/07/no-theres-no-hate-speech-exception-to-the-first-amendment/). Even if you have a dumb opinion like holocaust denial, you shouldn't stop them from thinking of such dumb thoughts. But people shouldn't control what you say and eventually people would cancel every second thing you'd say because it's "racist" or "sexist" or "homophobic", etc.
2. Theodemocracy is just Mormon Nationalism. That includes the ban on kissing Disney Characters from even G rated movies and even Heterosexual. Just way too extreme.

What I'd do so far. Change the political system to a republic without religious Nationalism because that's why we had some users leave IMGFLIP PRESIDENTS for good.

Side Bar 1:

According to a 19th Century Mormon Newspaper Times and Seasons (you should know this source since you are a Mormon), it says that...

A. Smith described Theodemocracy as a system under which God and the people held the power to rule in righteousness.
B. Smith believed that this would be the form of government that would rule the world upon the Second Coming of Christ. This polity would constitute the Kingdom of God which was foretold by the prophet Daniel in the Old Testament. Theodemocratic principles played a minor role in the forming of the State of Deseret in the American Old West.

Paraphrase this, its so Mormon Nationalism because it is basically a system which God and the people held the power to rule and Nationalise Mormonism but at the same time, it's nothing like the way Muslims do it with Persecution.

Side Bar 2:

The purpose of the First Amendment is to build "a wall between Church and State"

In other words, its a violation to even try bring religion into your policies because yes you may have a right to be religious, I understand that as a Protestant Christian, but at the same time, I don't make my policies entirely based on Christianity (not Mormonism). For example, your ban on Disney Character kissing, you've banned it because it says in the Book of Mormon that using pornographic material in any way is a violation of a commandment of God: “Thou shalt not … commit adultery … nor do anything like unto it” (Doctrine and Covenants 59:6).

See this image on the ban of G rated Disney Character Kissing... imgflip.com/i/6s4hvo

Maybe I have gotten over the top at least with this comment... "According to a 19th Century Mormon Newspaper Times and Seasons (you should know this source since you are a Mormon), it says that..."

What I should have said was "According to a 19th Century Mormon Newspaper Times and Seasons" and no other commentary. If I get disendorsed next election I'm probably going to most likely run for president in a different party

Nah, I'm not defecting. I'm just wondering about this considering my comments may have been hurtful towards your party and towards God of course.

Sounds like a way to try to sneak someone's religion into government in spite of a founding document, and a founding cohort, that explicitly repudiated that idea - but go on.
1 up, 2y
I don't normally support your views and shadowing of BritishMormon but sneaking someone's religion as you say is against the 1st amendment and conservatives are supposed to support the 1st amendment more than liberals because liberals believe in cancel culture.

I am a Protestant Christian but I don't nationalise it and throw in protectionism but I think religious values, not necessarily the extreme side of things as well as Capitalism is enough.

James Madison is in particular the "Father of the Constitution," and he was quite clear about separating church and state. The religious wars that decimated Europe may feel remote at this point, but they were quite fresh in the memories of the Founders.

That said - one need only look at the Middle East, which never underwent the philosophical revolution of the Enlightenment and remains mired in religious fanaticism, despotism, and factionalism to this day, to appreciate the wisdom of the idea of separating church and state.

So I ask again: what the heck do you mean by "theodemocracy"?
