I know no one cares about some random vegetarian/vegan trans girl's input on this issue, but I am gonna put my input anyway. The idea behind being vegans is not about eating living things being 'evil'. It's not, many animals across the world are carnivores and therefore eat meat.
Studies have shown that eating plant-based can decrease cancer risk, reduce blood pressure in people with high blood pressure, lower risk of type 2 diabetes (which is an acquired disease, unlike type 1 which is partially genetic), and lower risk of coronary heart disease, along with other benefits, like lowering cholesterol levels. Most of the diseases listed are linked to saturated fat consumption, which are almost entirely found in meat, dairy products, and eggs.
On top of that, some of the top athletes in the world eat plant-based diets. Even former bodybuilder and former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger eats a plant-based diet.
