We need to pull ourselves out of funding them, at least. We need our government to stop hurting us.

"If you want to fund Ukraine's war because they're white and not brown, you should say so."

Who said that, and what does "If you want to fund Ukraine's war because they're white and not brown" even mean?

Well simply. America thinks Ukraine's special and won't fall as long as we fund them, unlike Iraq which is in a civil war, Afghanistan who's government collapsed and the Syrian civil war, where the US ended up arming ISIS. I can only assume the US thinks Ukraine is special because they're white and those weapons won't end up on the black market.

Well from the looks of Russia's mighty wehrmacht's retreat from Putin's lil' blitzkrieg, looks like it's working.
Iraq is not in a civil war.
Trump signed Afghanistan over to the Taliban, so leaving the Afghan goverment out of that deal kinda left them out.
The US never armed ISIL.

Not sure where you've been, but the USA INVADED Iraq because of irrigation pipes, and spent two decades in Afghanistan. From the looks of it, another decade or two wouldn't have shown that Alexander the Great should have tried just a little harder, same with Iran.

"I can only assume the US thinks Ukraine is special because they're white"

Again, WHAT does that mean?

Iraqis and Syrians are white, and are a heckuva lot closer (as in the foothills of) to Caucasia than some folks way out west who for some odd reason claim the Caucasus are their proprietary.
Afghanis are also mostly white, with some Turkic groups. Last anyone checked, being a true (as in origninal, real, not some Teutonic faker looking for a history his barbaric ancestry couldn't afford him) Aryan kinda placed someone on that list because math.

Incidentally, Ukrainians are primarily Slavic, which according to your metric makes them not white.

The irony.

No.

Saudi Arabia and Turkey have funded and armed ISIL. If them buying those arms from other countries is exactly that,

Okay than Russia isn't in a war since they're engaging in a special military operations.

Okay that's good then since the Taliban isn't our enemy but now is our problem.
"Look, the Taliban per se is not our enemy. That's critical. There is not a single statement that the president has ever made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy because it threatens U.S. interests. If, in fact, the Taliban is able to collapse the existing government, which is cooperating with us in keeping the bad guys from being able to do damage to us, then that becomes a problem for us."
~Joe Biden

Um ... No, the US along with other Western nations wanted regime change in Syria and armed ISIS when they armed rebels so they could overthrow the Syrian Government.

Um ... Hispanic would be an ethnicity according to the US and what the hell is an "United Statian?". Are you talking about an American from the United States of America?

You dropped your 'brown people' crap when you finally looked up Iraq & Syria and found out what an actual real Caucasian really is, and when you found out Afghans are of the actual real Aryans the Hitlerites were pretending they can pretend to borrow their history because they had none of their own, so let's not waste my time having to explain to you what Cristobal Colon hath wrought in Hispaniola and outwards starting it 1492, shall we?

Third World? Love how the First World is deemed that by those whose arrival was in the 20th Century, or in Russia's case, not quite yet.

Heard the other month that this will be the end of Putin, and that even Russia will ultimately begin to dismember itself.

Too bad for that stupified Putiepoo it wasn't Ukraine invading Russia, as its grand secret weapon it lobbed at Napolean and Hitler's forces was... its dreadful winter! BWAHAHAHAHAHA, what a bunch of losers, their key to winning wars is the enemy getting mired in the moat of its deep-ish freez! That's why the Russians got whupped out of Finland! Their winters are even colder. Oh, and their marksmen were beyond anything the cumbersome stoop shouldered Soviets could ever dream of having in their arsenol of creeking rust.

We done? Yeah, we're done,,,

toodles!

That's cute that you think countries without access to clean drinking water and have to mine ore by hand aren't third world.

Even cuter that you think Russia is going to be disbanded instead of United Russia, largest political party, not still being around after Putin passes away or doesn't run for reelection. Even cuter that you think after the Ukraine Civil War is over that the far right won't start a revolution.

Are we done? Sure, as done as Ukraine is being a country after their Civil war ends

You're so cute comparing Russia troops to NAZIs when it's Ukrainian troops that not only honor the NAZI, Stepan Bandera but also wear NAZI imagery.

Whatever you say, buddy.

Yes, the US armed ISIS by giving rebels arms that then gave them to ISIS. It's not that hard to understand that America armed the JV team.

Don't know what you're blabbing on about but of course it's about white people. Shouldn't expect differently from an Ukrainian far-right supporter.

Look how original you are for using St Petersburg instead of Moscow.
2 ups, 2y
Yeah, I am, aren't I?

But compare Russians to Nazis? Oh, dear no. Putin's would-be two week takeover wouldn't qualify him and his ilk to clean Nazi toilets with their tongues even if he wasn't failing so laughably. As despicable as the Nazis were, Ruskies are on the other side of the spectrum of miserably stunted evolutionary mishaps gone awry. Goodness, it took a Prussian empress in the 18th Century to domesticate those lumbering oafs, and Communsim, of all things, to finally enter them within smelling distance of civilization in the 20th. No, I wouldn't insult my worst enemy by likening them to those slack-jawed buffoons.

I see you're still clinging to your errors. Alas, they're still errors. Just because you keep piling on the bull - and blatantly deliberately, at this stage - doesn't make your ignorance any less so.

Enjoy Russia's perpetual failure!

Sure. Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia are about to hold referendums to join Russia and Luhansk and Donetsk already voted to be Independent. This war was avoidable if the Ukraine government didn't violate the ceasefire of their Civil War and causing Russia to engage in a special military operation. I hope Ukraine and the west don't cause Russia to use nuclear weapons because you attack their territory because unlike Iraq, Russia has WMDs
"In the four days leading up to the invasion, ceasefire monitors from the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) documented a dangerous increase in ceasefire violations in Eastern Ukraine, with 5,667 violations and 4,093 explosions.

Most were inside the de facto borders of the Donetsk (DPR) and Luhansk (LPR) People’s Republics, consistent with incoming shell-fire by Ukraine government forces."

They actually really are.

And you need to realise that: 12 HIMARS cars beat the entire Russian army.

12 weapons. That's all it took.

How is Putin supposed to dismantle NATO if 12 weapons beat his entire army? How do you think it's going to go on the day he opposes America directly?

You need to make your peace with that! Even if you believe Putin's side of the story, sorry, but the bottom line is, he's GOING to need to embrace the international community, not fight it. Because it's over. 12 vehicles is all it took. And there are more on the way. A LOT more. Most of the funding we gave Ukraine hasn't even been deployed yet!!!
1 up, 2y,

It takes one weapon to destroy those HIMARS. You people act like those weapons just magically appear in Ukraine. Those weapons need to be transported and there's a single weapon that can't completely disrupt those supply lines.

That's not true at all. Ukraine are winning because of the 12 HIMARS vehicles we gave them and trained how to use on the targets that our intel is feeding them every day. To cut that off now would be exactly what the Russians are hoping for: the HIMARS would stop targetting Russian supply facilities and command experience, so the Russians would be able to build their advantage back up.

The Ukranians know this which is why they're asking us as nicely as they can not to abandon them when they need us the most. And besides, the US doesn't just ditch its allies in the middle of a war.
[deleted]
0 ups, 2y,

Aight. I see wat u mean. But if it seems like the M142 HIMARS Rocket seems to be VERY EFFECTIVE against the russians, just give them more M142 HIMARS trucks and more of the rockets the HIMARS system utilizes. Boom. Nothing else needs to be sent that is more powerful than HIMARS.
[deleted]
1 up, 2y,
1 reply
Maybe!

But here's the thing: in January, the jets we're giving to the Ukrainians will be ready to deploy. And if 12 HIMARS is enough to stop the Russians dead in their tracks, imagine what 30 will do. THOSE will be ready by roughly March.

And as time goes on, 50. 100.

See, as much as we COULD just turn this into a long-term perpetual-war quagmire that the Russians will bankrupt themselves to deal with, the strategy we are pursuing is so much more beautiful: in just a few short months, this war will get even worse for the Russians, and Putin knows it. That's why he's calling these bullshit referendums - he's desperate for ANYTHING.

Make him sweat. Make him nervous. Make him lose sleep thinking about what a God awful mistake this whole thing was. He deserves it. That's what he SHOULD be doing. That's EXACTLY what he should be doing.

Winning the war is good. Ending the war is better.
