This is a shame that it is somewhat true. The far right and the far left are actually more similar than people think since they are both concerned and obsessed with the status of people's race. They are also obsessed on which race(s) is/are superior or inferior and therefore is treated accordingly. This is called Horseshoe Theory, where the ideologies of the far leftist and the ideologies of the far right-winger are closer to each other than either of them are to the ideologies of the centrist. This is a real shame because trying to fight an extreme ideology with yet another extreme ideology doesn't offer any solutions to the current problems. We need moderate conservatives AND moderate liberals, those who may disagree with each other but respect that they have differing opinions.
