Moving the migrants, after Martha's Vineyard's charities rushed to get them food and shelter, was a decision made by Mass.'s Republican Governor, Charlie Baker. “Our Administration has been working across state government to develop a plan to ensure these individuals will have access to the services they need going forward, and Joint Base Cape Cod is well equipped to serve these needs,” the governor said.

I'm not talking about DeSantis either. I'm talking about Lightfoot, the people of Martha's Vineyard, and the rest of the Leftists, Liberals, and Democrats who are now complaining about this when they are still the ones enabling all this.

I am one that you call an "enabler." I was raised in the San Fernando Valley in the 1950s when an acute Agricultural labor shortage had caused the "Bracero Program," to come about. It was a well-regulated program that allowed needed farmworkers to temporarily relocate to where they were needed, then go home at the end of harvest. Greedy business owners illegally hired some braceros and the problem mushroomed from there. The City of San Fernando was the economic and political hub of the Valley, then and most people were opposed to people staying here illegally. In those days the majority population of San Fernando were native born Americans of Mexican descent whose families were there when California became a state.

As I said the problem of employers hiring cheap illegal workers encouraged more of them to come. Then Reagan granted them amnesty. He made millions of illegals, legal with his signature.

I have always been against illegal workers coming here simply for money. They should be singled out of the incoming hordes, processed and returned to their country of origin. But refugees from situations that involve sexual exploitation of women and children, those whose lives were threatened for political reasons in their home country and some others deserve to seek asylum.

If you want to put an end to illegal workers make knowingly hiring them punishable by six months in prison for each count for the owner or president of the company that does so. Reduce the demand and much of the supply will dry up.

This meme was the product of my hearing DeSantis brag sarcastically about fulfilling Martha's Vineyard's desire to be a "Sanctuary City."

It turns out that the people sent to Martha's Vineyard were escaping Communist oppression in Venezuela. Who remembers when the Republican Party was pro-Capitalism and Anti-Communist Conservatives. Real Conservatives would not endure, approve of or celebrate the use of millions of dollars in taxpayers' money for a political stunt like this. These people are Conservatives Under No True Sense.
