Theoretically the goal of "vote suppression" in this context would have been to suppress [democrat] votes. The fact that there was a greater turnout overall doesn't necessarily mean voter suppression didn't happen.

(To be clear, I'm not necessarily saying it did.... I'm just sayin' it seems more information is needed.)

Obviously correlation is not causation however, I think the latest data out of Georgia refutes the racial voter suppression by legislation theory. Both articles are from the Brennan Center for Justice. Keep in mind that in this specific instance, the talking point was that Georgia was trying to suppress the black vote which, is often the democrat vote.

Pretty sure black people aren't showing up because they realize its a choice between someone that wants to chop off your foot and someone that wants to chop off your leg.

When under 30% of the population turns out to vote, of any race, it's a bad sign.
