Can we PLEASE get a adaptation of the marvel comic where Kool-aid man is a superhero? I mean, we're already doing bad quality Marvel stuff so...

I'm surprised DC didn't do that 6 years ago... would have been more interesting than anything they've managed to churn out in a decade

Well I mean considering the fact that the comic was created by Marvel I don't think they could, but honestly both Marvel is too formulaic and DC just sucks in general

yeah there's a She-Hulk now, it's a VERY feminist show, I haven't gotten vibes this extreme since I saw the Batwoman trailer
I could go into all my problems from the first episode but that would exceed the comment max length
But one is that it is advertised as a comedy but it's just as funny as Seth Rogen

can they really not come up with a creative name? like, even i (with 0 imagination) could probably make a more creative name smh

She-Hulk has been around since 1980. If she'd been created today, she'd no doubt have a more creative and/or "woke" name.

I guess you don't have Disney+. The name of the series is called She Hulk. The character goes by She Hulk even though she thinks it's a stupid name. So far in the first two episodes they haven't put any woke crap in it.

However, they have another series called Ms Marvel which is a woke kids show. I knew it was going to be a kid show but I watched the first one anyway. It was just as dumb as I thought it was plus they are trying to indoctrinate young teenagers with wokism. Disney sucks.

If you differentiate between woke crap and feminist man-hating crap, that's fine, I just don't bother anymore. Especially when Feminism as an entity inserts itself into every other SJW cause, trying to usurp them and make it all about feminism.

And you certainly don't need Disney+ to able to watch those shows 🏴‍☠️. I've just avoided them all anyway. Only ones I've watched were Wandavision, Loki, and FaWS.

I really don't think there is a whole lot of difference between woke, feminist or SJW crap. It is all driven by the same Marxist crap that has almost completely destroyed freedom. 4th and 5th wave feminism is all about killing unborn children and nothing else. Wokeism is just the more recent version of the social justice warriors.

We switched from Dish Network to Hulu + Live TV. Disney+ comes with a Hulu subscription.

I had a hard time getting into Wandavision until close to the end of the series. Loki, FaWS are pretty good as well as Black Widow.
2 ups, 2y
I liked Wandavision until the last few moments, when they let her off the hook with that lame ass "they'll never know what you sacrificed" nonsense.

FaWS had some decent moments, but was cringy for the most part, and pushed me away from anything new. Especially with the same garbage Wandavision pulled, trying to make excuses for the "poor woman" who was harming innocent people.
1 up, 2y
Yeah, it's annoying that Hollywood is trying to indoctrinate ppl with that stuff. And so is school and the media. Really parents need to shield their kids from this stuff or the next gen will have only one opinion and it won't be based on any amount of intelligence.

I liked Wandavision starting from episode 4, 1 & 2 we're hard to get into but 3 was a little more interesting and 4 is where things started picking up. fatws got a little too political for me, I could hear summer 2020 politics in the writing of that story, and Loki was a lot of fun but the whole show's plot line seemed like an attack on religion, like the countless scoffs at the idea of any sort of God (which didn't bother me as much bc Loki is like that anyway) but then having a "trinity" of time keepers that were completely fake and then having Sylvie decapitate one of them seemed like a metaphor for how they and this generation feel about God and anyone who believes in any god. But I loved the president Loki scene and the whole kang variant at the end. Black widow was a lot of fun too

I would agree except the whole idea that men can't go through hardship like women is a very lame idea, I mean you're talking to Bruce, for crying out loud, who got stranded on an alien planet for 2 years and lost his gf 5 years after beating himself up for losing a fight he was absolutely terrified of because Thanos whooped Hulk's behind. And Jen is so annoying. Ms marvel as far as I've heard (I didn't watch it) was at least fun, with all its problems. This show portrays itself as a comedy and the first episode had absolutely nothing funny. Even Thor 4 and all its "trying to be funny" was funnier than this.

I am not sure if She Hulk is trying to make the point that men cannot go through hardships like women. There have only been two episodes so far and if anything She Hulk is portrayed as not having any hardship. She never transformed into the wild savage beast that Bruce did. She still had all of her mental faculties when she hulked out. Her transformation was a piece of cake compared to Bruce's.

Her only hardship was because she is a lawyer because she hulked out in the courtroom to save everyone, she lost her job and had a very hard time trying to find another job. That is a drop in the ocean compared to Bruce. But we'll see. This is the new woke Disney. They will have to inject their caca into the story line some how. They can't help themselves even though it is more than apparent that woke doesn't sell.

Ms Marvel might be fun but it is geared towards a teenage audience. It's been 44 years since my teenage years ended. I don't like teen shows that feel like they were produced by Disney. And lo and behold, Ms Marvel IS produced by Disney.

Thor 4 was not written for a teen audience. Plus they got Taika Waititi to direct it. Not everything Taika Waititi has done was funny. In fact, I think pretty much all New Zealand produced comedies are not funny in the least. There are a few exceptions (Flight of the Conchords). However, Taika Waititi really shined when he took over Thor. That made Thor as funny as Guardians of the Galaxy and I like a good comedy.

"I am not sure if She Hulk is trying to make the point that men cannot go through hardships like women. There have only been two episodes so far and if anything She Hulk is portrayed as not having any hardship."

From what I understand from nearly everyone criticizing the show, she was complaining to Hulk that she, just by virtue of being a woman, has had a much harder life than he could ever understand.

I somehow doubt that Disney+ will have her open her eyes to her own privilege and realize that Bruce has been through far more trauma and suffering than SHE could ever understand.
2 ups, 2y
yeah that's my problem with it, and it seems the directors agree with her. Even articles I've read say stuff like "and that's true. Men don't suffer like women do." That's so lame. I mean, talk about a successful lawyer in a first world country... Might I introduce her to some North Koreans?

I probably just ignored that part and then forgot all about it. I tend to just tune all the leftist whining out so I can enjoy the show.

But now that you mentioned it I think she did go on about how hard it is to be a woman. Which crap. There are only 2 things that make it hard being a woman, 1) menstrual cycles and the havoc it plays on their emotions and 2) childbirth. I guess being 40% weaker than men, on average, has it's drawbacks.

After that women, especially today, do not have it harder than men. The only place where women earn less than men is Federal government employees. The left keeps it that way so they have an issue to campaign on. In the private sector woman earn, on average, about 2 or 3 cents less per hour than men.

Well I'm just rambling about stuff you probably already know. I'll shut up now.

well that's what she said. I'd argue the show isn't doing a great job of proving her point, so I agree with you there. Because her hardships we're "getting catcalled", "getting mansplained by incompetent men" (but later she insulted Bruce for trying to help her when he's a brilliant scientist, proving she's not the best judge of character), and then "having to calm down unless she wants to get murdered or something" which is just lame. The show has shown everything you've said but she herself acts like she's had it so hard and Bruce nods and agrees even though he should know better, being that he's been through much worse things.

Yeah, and it was very woke (probably bc Disney thinks teenhood means being woke now, and if not, then "get on the woke train"). But I probably will never watch that bc it's obviously done for the sake of "diversity" and "social justice".

Yeah Thor 3 and 4 are my favorites over 1 and 2 (but most ppl ik hated the 4th one). Honestly Ragnarok was very funny (actually funnier than any of the GOTG movies and that's a high bar to hit) and 4 at times seemed like it was trying to be funny more than being funny. There were reasons Ragnarok worked and Jojo rabbit worked but it didn't hit the exact same with this one. I liked it bc I was so scared Jane wouldn't be feminine and that was far from the case. But they made Thor so dumb in this. So it had its problems, but like you said, I like a good comedy too so this was definitely better than doctor strange imo

Because I'm on the old fart side of things, I watched The Incredible Hulk tv series when it first came out in the 70's with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. If you want to know about Bruce's (or David as he was called on the show) hardships then every episode is all about the crap he had to go through while constantly being tracked down but a reporter who wanted to expose him. It was his hardships that provided the drama for the series.

The show was really good back in the 70's but really cheesy by today's standards. Just like Wonder Woman with Linda Carter.

I haven't seen those but ik a bit about them lol. But that already sounds better written than this one.

yeah I would agree, but Disney sure needs to stop drawing their CG inspiration from that show...

A couple of their high level executives were caught on camera bragging about putting woke ideologies into their movies for kids. Then they started showing up on Disney shows. I never watched it, nor am I but the Buzz Lightyear movie is supposed to be full of all sorts of woke crap.

I think it is absolutely disgusting to try to indoctrinate someone else's kids with your political beliefs, regardless if your ideology is good or bad. Wokism is absolutely idiotic. It is destructive and creates little dictators who have control over your life. If you said something they don't like 40 years ago then they will get you fired from your job.

Stand up comedians and comedic actors are speaking out against wokeism because it is ruing comedy. Comedians like Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen, John Cleese, Dave Chappelle, Billy Crystal and Chris Rock have all complained about having shows cancelled because of wokeism. Mostly at colleges where woke cancel culture is out of control.

If I had young kids at home I would only allow them to watch older Disney movies or cancel Disney+ altogether. I would not want my kids indoctrinated by morons.

She-Hulk has been a comic character for over 40 years. The character herself isn't the problem, the direction of this show is. And the character in the show is. They change characteristics these days to fit narratives that original creators would never want associated with their writing. Take Amazon's "Rings of Power" parody coming out soon. That show has nothing to do with LOTR history or folklore, they've changed all kinds of things (and started it right after Christopher Tolkien died too)
