You shouldnt. Its not worth. That book is a mediocre fanfiction worshipped by imbeciles who dont know how evolution works. And to let you know curiosity killed the cat.

Don't say thanks because I never told you to read it and it sucks. AT sucks because:

-The plot is not consistent with what it tries to be. In one hand it tries to act as a documentary of evolution like Walking with Dinosaurs, but in the other hand it tries to tell a story (and a mediocre one in fact). The story one one hand tries to be about humanities war against the Qu, but on the rother hand its about the gravitals exterminating everyone and on the other one is about humanity going extinct. Like seriously this has to be one of the most inconsistent stories ever told.

-The Qu turned humanity into genetic abominations because they despised humans. If they hated humans so bad why didn't they just exterminated them instead of experimentation? Driving the species they despised the most to extinction would of been more clever and easier than turning them into Frankenstein like creatures. Its also never explained how they heck can they even manipulate genes considering they do not even have limbs.

-The tool breeders somehow evolved sapience despite being uncapable of using tools and the fact that you cannot use fire underwater.

-The book claims that the reasons why the post humans identified as humans and not their own species was because they knew they evolved from humans. That would be like Humans claiming to be Australopithecines just because we evolved from Australopithecines. And that's not how evolution works at all. Descendants will never be like or behave like their ancestor at all. The book also claims that the reason why the post humans became friends was because they knew they where related. By the book's logic we should be giving mice the right to vote since mice are closely related to primates. And the book also forgets that intraspecific competitions and conflict amongst populations of a species exist.

-The book portrays the post human species as having one society, one governor and one way of thinking. When in reality intelligent species can can be divided in different civilizations, tribes, nations and religions that can disagree with each other.

There are more but this are just some of the most blatant flaws the fanfic has.
