Paper straws are not the solution

I went to a restaurant and they had recycled plastic straws, which seem much more practical than paper straws, plus, they won’t get soggy in three minutes. There actually more durable than normal straws too.

I went to a place that had cups and straws made from plant based materials. So, if the cups and straws were thrown in the trash, they would eventually decompose, and not cause any future problems. The good thing for the user is that it seemed like normal plastic :-)

What about something like bamboo straws? The y don't get soggy, clutter up the environment or make your drink taste like cardboard

I used one in Hawaii… they chopped it and put it in the drink, then the ants crawled out! Yikes!

Well, you'd have to make sure you put it in the freezer first so you can just shake the ants out after because they'll be frozen.

I am joking around, but the ant story is actually true. In Hawaii, this guy cut open a coconut so we could drink out of it. Then he chopped off a bamboo straw and stuck it in the coconut. As we walked away, ants started crawling out of the straw! Super creepy!

I like ants and I volunteered to eat a wood ant once at a country fair and I ate it and not gonna lie, it was pretty good

I did a school report on eating bugs. We could either do the pros about eating bugs or the cons and I was going to do cons but I couldn't find enough information to go on. I had my reasons but not enough to call it an essay so I switched but I really wish I stayed.

bugs are a great source of protien and you dont have to destroy forests to make grazing land for them

What if your a vegetarian? Which I'm not, but still. And bugs are small. You would have to have ten on your plate to be the size of a smashed biscuit!

Bugs are small but there are a lot of them (the combined weight of all the bugs on earth is heavier than the weight of every other animal on earth)

It tastes sour because they squirt folic acid in your mouth and the ant's body tastes a bit like an apple core

Glass straws, they exist

Imagine it breaking in your little siblings mouth because they bite on the straw. Mine don't but they used to. I feel like everyone used to.

With careful use glass straws are great, since you can use them again and again, and then recicle them! My sister's been using one and she says it's pretty cool

The real question is are they made from recycled paper? If so that means you are sucking your cola through a tunnel of buttwipe and noseblow. Even worse, if you're drinking a shake, cuz you're sucking real hard n slow
