The "new users" are generally elementary and middle schoolers (and those older ones who didn't pay attention in school), or who are the product of sh*tty parenting skills. You can tell by the piss-poor grammar, spelling, and the plethora of memes whining about school or ones that come from crappy video games or comic book movies. That generation generally competes with itself for upvotes because they're slowly finding out that there are not so many participation trophies nowadays....but they're still grasping onto that unraveling rope attached to that anchor point at their safe space.
You can "OK Boomer" me all you want but my GAF meter is pegged at zero.
