The signature thing is sus, but regardless, this is a trademark know-nothing, self-pitying, blame-shifting dumpster fire of statement that definitely could have been written either by Trump himself, or by someone who’s managed to stay married to him throughout… *gestures vaguely and with resignation*
By her own admission, she was at the White House on Jan. 6. Apparently with her nose buried so deep within some archival trivia that she somehow missed the giant angry mob that her husband had gathered right outside on the White House lawn. But okay.
Next she pivots to blaming her own former Chief of Staff, the one person we know of who tried to prevail upon her to do *something*, going so far as to use words like “betrayal” and some throwaway lines about her reputation and career.
It is hard to believe there are still folks in America who continue to swallow this bullshit from the Trumps. But hey, it’s gotten the two of them this far, so why not keep plugging away?
Melania Trump is certainly a key witness to Jan. 6 and the rest of Trump’s mess of a presidency, she ought to be deposed on the events of that day and many other subjects besides. History would sure benefit from pinning down what she knew and when she knew it.
Tl:dr serious mob wife vibes
