The US has only had one president ever resign. I wonder how many Prime Ministers have resigned. Britain does seem to have a better removal system than the US.

That's the beauty of the Parliamentary system of government.

Remained in office, AND is almost certainly going to run again, perhaps for no other reason than to try to stave off prosecution by claiming "political persecution."

AND IS THE PRESUMPTIVE FRONT-RUNNER.

There are soooo many other potential Republican candidates for '24 who would deliver the same good ol' noxious Republican policies we know and hate - DeSantis, Pence, etc. -

But noooo, that MAGA base is gonna go for the meanest, most violent, most scandal-plagued, most treasonous motherf**ker of the bunch.

What's wrong with the picture is the existence of the Republican party.

Got to give it Boris here, he proved himself to have more integrity to resign as Prime Minister than Trump did conceding the election to Biden. That’s about the only praise I can give the now ex PM, though.

The thing about Boris is that he at least wasn’t entirely doing it for the fame and behaved not like a spotlight-hungry businessman who wanted to add being a world leader to his list of accomplishments.
