This is unequivocally true. This is the primary driver behind all of the big tech censorship of conservatives. On an even playing field - 'progressives' would get crushed. They know this. Their weak and fragile ideas can't compete in a truly free and open marketplace of expression of ideas. So they go full steam with the censorship.
