The higher Biden lets those gas prices go up, the cost of making plastic goes even higher. We use way more plastic than gasoline, and it's the part the left won't bring up with all their "We need to stop drilling!" crap.

Seems an unnecessary comment. The point is valid. 'No more oil' is a political movement. What's your objection?

My objection is the fact that oil = plastic and plastic = the modern world. No more oil means no more plastic means no more smartphones, no more cars, no more medications, no more modern comforts.

It also means no more electricity since most us power plants are coal or oil and gas...

WELL. . .there's that push to get rid of plastic straws in California and a push to go back to paper and tote bags in many other part of the country. . .

None of which is being done by people who actually care, it's just trying to pander to voters or put their own profits above the wellbeing of the people. Plastic straws make up 0.02% of all plastic waste in this country, and we've contributed at most 2% of all the plastic waste in the oceans. The United States is not the problem here, but manufacturing in China where there's far fewer labor and environmental restrictions is cheaper the way the global economy is set up, so instead we let them produce our pollution for us too.
