Up-voted. This is pretty much why the Left put a cultural Marxist spin on teaching history in public schools. They gloss over the specifics in favor of talking instead about gender equality or economic disparities . . . and so forth and so on. The upshot it that the modern student getting though public school in the U.S. is pretty much ignorant in regards to the important aspects of history.
