That’s a half-assed definition of what defines a life. It’s human since it comes from human reproduction and holds human DNA, it’s an individual human because it holds new DNA not identical to the mother. A plant cannot feel pain, a plant is not conscious, and a plant is a life form the difference tho is that a plant will never gain consciousness. Now your parasite argument applies to literally all humans because we were once fetuses and therefore deserve to die. The mother was a parasite to her mother, so what gives her the right to kill another human parasite?
Further more that sounds a lot like illegal immigrants, they’re foreign beings surviving off of an alien host. Now the one problem with your whole parasite argument is that it’s retarded, it’s really not similar to a parasite at all. A parasite has to be a foreign species living in or on another species consuming nutrients at the cost of their host. A fetus is not a foreign species and the circumstances are the exact opposite of parasites. The majority of cases of parasites the parasite forces their way in, on the contrary the majority of pregnancies are caused willingly by the mother’s own consent to have intercourse.
Now I’ll tell you the actual definition of life. (You know like legitimate science rather than the Woke Cult’s religious teachings)
“ the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death.”
The CAPACITY for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death.
I know California is the most illiterate state, so you may have trouble understanding. The word “c a p a c I t y” means ability, so a fetus still counts as a life since it holds the ability to do all of those things after a certain amount of time.
A fetus’ cells start to multiply at the moment of conception and is therefore growing, it will be able to reproduce with a matter of time, it will eventually be capable of functional activity, and it has continual change preceding death. You could also argue it’s already performing functional activity since it is meeting the demands of it’s environment by growing. You could actually argue a woman who has an abortion fails to meet the standards of life worse than the fetus since she proved she doesn’t want to reproduce and she failed to perform functional activity because the demands of her environment was to give birth.
