We don't need to outlaw guns, just outlaw bullets!

I am not in favor of outlawing guns. We just need to admit we have a problem with one weapon and do sensible things to restrict access to it. Too many people are addicted to guns and are in denial of the problem. They block our path to a solution most of the rest of us want to forge.

Neither am I - I think it's silly. If you want government taking over and owning the population, that's how you do it

I am not afraid of the "government taking over." We are the government. If not, the cops would have shot all those crazy bastards on January 6, 2021.

The problem is a lack of morality. There’s an element in society that believes they don’t need to obey any laws. It comes from not being properly disciplined as a child and not having a fear of God. When you grow up learning that punishment is a certainty even if it’s not immediate you learn to obey the rules.

That "element," is an equal opportunity problem. It is found in all races, sexes, religions and other groups. It infects all political parties and income brackets.

We agree on that! But have you noticed that bikers, and I mean all bikers of any and all persuasion, don’t fight the cops and resist arrest when they get pulled over

Going to jail, for many of them, is like a Homecoming. It adds to their cred.

I believe it’s more like, live to fight in court.

The solution is to outlaw being a victim.

Most people know that these are not reality. But a disclaimer saying something like, "He dummy. The violence shown in this videogame is not effin real. In real life, good people get hurt and some die in situations like the ones shown here.

I read a book for a Sociology Class called "Growing Up Absurd, in the late 1960s. It suggested that too many people in my generation worshipped anti-heroes in Westerns. It described a classic Western in which the system is corrupt, and an outsider comes in and singlehandedly fixes everything at gunpoint. It suggested that feeble minded members of my generation believed these movies to represent real life. WTF. I think I just described Trumpmania!

You want to get serious... outlaw drug ads...

As a retired Healthcare Manager, I agree with that proposal. Most generic drugs are just fine for most people. I trust most doctors to look out for the health of their patients and keep up on new drugs the best they can. Many years ago, I asked the then Chief of Psychopharmacology at UCLA how much the average doctor knew about all the drugs available to them. He said, "About 20%." He added that they knew all the drug types and what they generally did. Pharmacy companies have no problem getting information to doctors about new drugs. M/D.s are perfectly capable of deciding who needs them. Drug ads make patients pressure dos to give them the new Cadillac drugs.

LOL... sure... that's why that type of advertising is banned in Europe...
