George Orwell nailed it!

George Orwell nailed it! | "In the end the Party
would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. It was inevitable that they should make that claim sooner or later: the logic of their position demanded it. Not merely the validity of experience, but the very existence of external reality was
tacitly denied by their philosophy."; George Orwell, "1984“ | image tagged in george orwell,memes,1984,male pregnancy, abortion, two plus two equals five | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Optimus Prime | COMMUNISM MUST BE STOPPED. NO MATTER THE COST. | image tagged in optimus prime | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
The scary part is 1984 is fictional based on reality. Orwell was writing about communism. So this is not really a prediction as it is more about revealing the repetition of the past.

I'm impressed! Most of the dumbasses on this site were told in freshman English that "1984“ is anti-capitalist, and they're stupid enough to still believe that.

Orwell's excellent "Homage to Catalonia" describes his service in the Spanish Civil War, when he was fighting for the POUM militia of the Republican army. He saw firsthand the lies, corruption, and duplicity of the leftists, the Soviets especially.

After World War 2, he was horrified at the Soviet Union's postwar strength and influence. Hence "1984," which more than any other work of any kind, describes the world of lies the left inhabits and abets.

Cheers!
