"I'm sure it has a lot to do with who's running it" And therein lies the problem. I really know nothing about Mayorkas until he formed the Ministry of Truth...oops.. I meant say, the Disinformation Governance Board. That is just another in a very long series of violations of the Constitution. The hubris of creating a government agency to tell you what you can and cannot say is obscene.
The problem is a government agency, department or the entire organization is only as good as the people who run it is a problem. This is why our founders created a very small and very limited government. If the wrong people got in it's impact on the nation would be very limited. Unfortunately, too many wrong people have been in our government over the last century so that we do not have a very small and limited government any more. It is not that we don't need the Ministry of Truth, we don't need the DHS. We don't need the Dept of Education, Dept of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, the IRS, the NSA, OHSA, the FDA and so on. We need to get rid of all of them.
