I hope you also take the time, and know the knowledge to grow a personal supply of food yearly to sustain you through the winter and into the year. Not everyone has that luxury because they live in apartments, and it's a hassle to use community gardens that don't agree in the same cultivating practices as each individual. Keep a eye out for all those farmers market that say everything is grown locally, when actually the boxes tell a different story, and the growing season makes them a liar. I get a kick out of all the fools shopping at farmers markets believing the pathetic liars who have no clue how hard it is to grow true organics from their back yard, and tout locally grown fresh produce when they actually picked it up from a grocery wholesaler. Or made the drive to Florida. California is the only state that has laws and investigators who actually fine and detain liars who say the food is grown locally, when actually its just being resold. I wish more states would follow California's footsteps. It would really help the struggling local hobbyist, and actually allow them to get into selling fresh grown produce in the local market.
