I believe you have overlooked the hypocrisy that the OP is pointing out here.

the right keep going on and on and on about "woke cancel culture" yet will cheefully cancel anyone and everyone they can. Y'all have been canceling left and right since forever.

Don't think so?

Conservatives canceled horror comics and caused the Comic Code Authority.

A conservative "anti-vice" organization whose very logo depicted books being burned

The Comics Code Authority (CCA) was formed in 1954 by the Comics Magazine Association of America. The CCA allowed the comic publishers to self-regulate the content of comic books in the United States. The code was voluntary; there was no law requiring its use. I believe it was the advertisers who pushed for it.

By 2010, only three major publishers still adhered to it:

You're using a meme to support your argument? How lame. Why would I trust you?

To blatantly sidestep the issue and ignore the examples provided is within your prerogative. Also known as an ignoratio elenchi.

Impotentia deprehendere non adaequat inopiam argumenti.

For those who don't understand this, failing to recognize the argument does not mean that one doesn't exist.

Further, going on to cite fallacy without explaining why it is fallacious and how it should be corrected to avoid further issues is seen as spam in this stream and will result in bans.

For example, see the commentary thread on that link.

Simply posting latin is spam and will be treated as such.

Thank you, and enjoy your time in PoliticsTOO, where we value intellectual discourse - unlike some other political streams on imgflip.

Why was the CCA formed? Nothing happens in a vacuum.

Conservatives canceled horror comics, the big money maker back in the day. Then they turned on Batman. They were coming after super heroes, the 2nd biggest money maker in comics.

Publishers formed the CCA to try and keep their industry from being canceled.

The CCA was formed because the publishers did not want the government monitoring them. Which is understandable

"Conservatives canceled horror comics"

How did they do that, by not buying the comics? I believe that within the US will still have the right not to purchase comics we don't like.
